Batch control - STF Load Check for washer-disinfectors

The STF Load Check indicator and holder are
intended for use inside each basket or tray to
verify the cleaning efficacy of a surgical
instrument in the washer-disinfector.
The dried test soil formula, printed on both sides
of the indicator, contains two sources of protein,
lipids and polysaccharides and is formulated to
mimic the cleaning efficacy soil tests for surgical
instruments described in BS2745(9), ISO/TS
15883-5:2005(10) and UK Guidance Document
HTM2030(11).
Simply place an STF Load Check indicator in the
holder, and place the device (indicator and holder)
in the tray or basket. After running one complete
cycle, remove the STF Load Check indicator from
the holder and examine for evidence of residual
soil. Complete removal of the dried ‘test soil’
pattern from the plastic substrate provides a
qualitative assessment of the washer-disinfector
cleaning performance.
